One Quote
“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough other people get what they want.”
- Zig Ziglar
Zig is one of the most iconic sales trainers of all time, known for mixing sharp tactics with timeless optimism. He ie best known for building the ZIglar Corp and pioneering sales training on cassette tapes & VHS in the ‘80s & ‘90s.
One Framework
Spot-Ask-Close: A feedback loop that builds autonomy and unlocks self-correction
Why it works: When you coach like this, you’re not just giving answers—you’re building judgment. This keeps your people thinking, improving, and owning their growth.
What it is:
Spot It. Call what you see.
Be direct, specific, and judgment-free. You’re not critiquing the person - you’re naming the moment.Ask It. Flip the mic: “How do you think it went?
Let them fill the silence. That pause is where self-awareness begins to build.Close it. Now Coach.
Fill the gap between what happened and what the business needs. Just one idea. One rep. One shift forward.
One Challenge
Ask yourself after your next team meeting: did I make things more clear or more confusing?
Your team can’t execute what they don’t understand. To be clear is to be kind.
